The Fountain Theatre has been awarded a grant from the Los Angeles Philanthropic Committee for the Arts.
The Los Angeles Philanthropic Committee for the Arts (LAPCA) makes financial grants to performing arts and creative arts organizations, primarily in Los Angeles County. In most cases grants are made to smaller and medium-sized organizations. Grants to individuals may be considered in special circumstances.
A primary orientation of the Committee is toward groups consisting of youths as performers or artists and organizations whose orientation is focused on teaching young people to understand and enjoy the arts.
Most of the funding is made to established organizations with a demonstrable track record of quality performances and a stable audience base, or those offering activities of cultural or educational benefit to the community. Other organizations it supports include the Broad Stage, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, and Ojai Music Festival.
